Every record I like, from now on !
2) Who are your biggest influences in DJ’ing and
why?
My biggest influences are: Roger Banks, for his
open-mind on the Rare Soul world playing R&B
along Northern Soul for a long, long time, Butch
and Andy Rix for the searching of the newies.
3) If you could DJ another style, other than
that you are known for, what would it be?
Rock and Roll!
4) Why did you become a DJ, rather than a
collector?
I only buy the songs I like and then I play
them, I have no need to complete labels, the
discography of a specific artist or something
like that…
5) What’s the “best” record you own?
I'm not qualified to say , instead I can tell
you the record for which I have a special
affection at the moment, The Ronettes featuring
Veronica LP.
6) Where is your favourite place to eat, and the
best meal they serve?
Indo-Paki and Japanese food, I love to eat with
chopsticks!
7) Do you collect anything else?
Do clothes count? And I'm a paparazzi of cats, I
have hundreds of pictures!
8) Favourite drink?
Wine, beer and water.
9) Most embarrassing / funny moment whilst
DJ’ing
Some years ago, in a very, very dark desk I
played the wrong side of a record, it was one of
the slowest ballads in the world!
(note from the webmaster -
So has Lee Miller)
10) Favourite movie?
Only one? Singing in the Rain, Breathless, Night
of the Hunter, The big Lebowski, To kill a
Mockingbird, What ever happened with Baby Jane…
